About

Chattanooga, Tennessee

Chattanooga-based, and practical by temperament.

Scenic City Technology was built around a simple observation: most businesses don't need more technology. They need the work to make sense, and then the right technology to support it.

Why we exist

Grounded in hands-on work

Our background is in manufacturing technology and digital transformation, the unglamorous end of it. Plant floors, production data, systems that had to keep running while people were mid-shift. That work teaches you quickly that a solution nobody will use is not a solution.

It also teaches respect for how people actually work. The workaround someone invented usually exists for a good reason. Understanding that reason is often the whole job.

We started SCT because too much technology gets sold before anyone has looked closely at the problem it's supposed to solve. We wanted to do the looking first.

We’re an early-stage firm and we’d rather say that plainly than dress it up. What we bring is the experience behind the work, a bias toward the simplest responsible answer, and a willingness to stay involved after the interesting part is over.

How we think about technology

A tool, not the point

Technology is only worth adding once the workflow it's meant to support is clear. That order matters to us, understand first, build second. We'd rather recommend a smaller change that actually gets used than a bigger one that gets worked around.

AI is part of the toolkit now, and we use it where it genuinely helps, not because it's expected, and not as a label we put on everything we do.

  1. 01

    Curiosity before answers

We ask a lot of questions and we're comfortable not knowing yet.

  2. 02

    Plain language

If we can't explain it without jargon, we probably don't understand it well enough.

  3. 03

    Local and reachable

Chattanooga is home. We're on site when it helps and remote when it doesn't, the work decides, not habit.

  4. 04

    AI where it genuinely helps

A useful tool in a few specific places, not our identity.

We’d rather earn trust than claim it.

You won’t find borrowed logos or invented numbers on this site. Talk to us, judge the questions we ask, and decide from there. The best way to start is a short conversation about what isn’t working.

Tell us what isn’t working.

No pitch deck, no pressure. Describe the part of the work that keeps tripping people up and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can help.
